2019-09-12 02:34:10 custom gift for housewarming

Hi there!

Birgit here today with some new Glimmer Mist projects.

accent pillow case baby burlap housewarming gift

First thing I want to share with you is a colorful 12×;12 canvas.

?The background was first covered with lace, a doily and bookpaper and then “;stamped”; with Glam on a screen. Then it was sprayed with several colors of chalkboard and glimmer mist. Finished the canvas with acrylic paint, inks and embossing powders.

Colors used: CB Valencia, Inchwormsofa pillow cases, Teal High Heal, Seven Seas, GM Dragonfly, Key Lime Pie, Sun Sisters, Marmalade, Glam Mermaid.

My second project is a 8,5×;11 layout.

?I used a stencil to spray the blue background. To create the sun I sprayed a chipboard sun with glimmer mist and then added yellow embossing powder while the mist was still wet and embossed it.

Colors used: GM Dragonfly and Caribbean Blue, SunsSister and CB Valencia

My last creation is a little tag.

I covered the tag with gesso, then added the glimmer mist. After the glimmer mist had dried I sprayed the tag with some water and?gently dapped it with kitchen paper. Finally I splattered some glam and glaze on top.

Color used:?CB Firefly, GM Dragonfly and Pomegranate, Glam Stiletto and Glaze Flirty.

Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you found some inspiration in my creations and the colors made you jappy too! See you hopefully again next month ??

Happy misting,

The other day, we spotted natural fiber rugs on the floor of a Swedish farmhouse — they look like coir or jute — that seem to have been stenciled with a pattern. Brilliant, why didn’t we think of that?!!! The technique would allow you add simple geometric designs to inexpensive and durable rugs.?It might even be a way to give new life to stained or worned sisals (sisals ain’t cheap and show wear like crazy).
